The last date for School Leads Training for the Year is now upon us, so don't miss this opportunity to send a representative or two (or more) to join us on 27th November so you can be set up and organised to get started with your Primary School roll out and School Award journey in January, or sign up for 14th January instead.
Who is it for? This training and support process is for people who will be leading and co-ordinating how you’ll implement Emotion Works across your school, and also for any teachers who would like to access additional CPD to be able to take on a cascading and mentoring role with new members of staff.
This training is the ideal first step for new schools just signing up to Emotion Works, and for existing Member Schools who are still not fully up and running with the programme or who are interested in beginning their School Award journey.
Why should we attend? For over 10 years of supporting schools to access the Emotion Works programme the schools who are making the best use of what we offer are without a doubt the ones where 1 or 2 teachers, or a small working group, have taken a lead on co-ordinating their own school roll out.
An important key to success and impact is in connecting with us and working in partnership towards our shared goals for staff development and supporting your pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
FEEDBACK FROM A HAPPY ATTENDEE
Here's how we'll work in partnership with you on your Staff Development and Pupil Learning & Wellbeing goals:
- You’ll join us at an initial live online training session with other School Leads and interested teachers at a similar stage of their Emotion Works school journey
- We’ll provide ongoing support as you work through the co-ordination of your team set up, resources preparation, staff training and first full roll-out, up to Silver School Award Level
- We’ll facilitate connections between schools at similar stages within a Cohort approach
- We’ll help you identify and meet staff development needs to ensure all teachers feel confident and equipped to deliver Emotion Works and the Cog Curriculum
- We’ll provide tools and suggestions to help you track staff and pupil progress and support you to share your impact in meaningful and motivating ways
A key guidance document that we share with all School Leads is our Primary School Implementation Checklist 1
Please feel free to take a look ahead of the training to see how easy it will be for your school to achieve a Bronze Award by simply following the first 8 steps of your Emotion Works whole school roll-out.
Also, our School Award Route Map, shown here, provides an overview of all the different aspects of school roll-out we can support you with to ensure robust capacity building for the long term.
