Emotion Works Foundations Programme – Introductory Training

New for 2025!

This Introduction to the Emotion Works Foundations Programme is a 2-part Training course for Early Learning Practitioners in 3-5 settings, and also ASN Practitioners working with pupils at a similar level of learning and communication.

for Early Years Practitioners will be running on the following dates as Wednesday twilights during the Autumn term.

Session 1: Monday 3rd February, 3:45-5pm INTRODUCING THE EMOTION WORKS FOUNDATIONS PROGRAMME
Session 2: Monday 3rd March, 3:45-5pm EARLY LEARNING PRACTICE: ENVIRONMENT, ACTIVITIES & INTERACTIONS

Training will be delivered by Claire Murray, programme creator, with examples of Emotion Works in Early Years & ASN practice from around the Emotion Works Community.

Training Outcomes

By the end of this training series, attendees will…

Be familiar with the Emotion Works Component Model framework and have an understanding of how it can be used as a pupil observation and staff discussion tool.
Be familiar with the Foundation Programme resources and Emotion Works Early Learning Launchpad
Know what Emotion Works practice looks like in an Early Learning Setting in terms of environment, activities and interactions
Have a bank of starter activities to try and the knowledge and tools to plan ongoing activities for the group of learners they work with.

Audience

Emotion Works Leads in School Nurseries and ELCs
Early Years Practitioners (3-5s)
ASN practitioners working with pupils at a similar level of emotional learning and communication
